HYGIENE

At LOCOS TOKYO in Shinjuku, we take thorough hygiene management measures against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens to ensure that our customers can receive their tattoos with peace of mind. We are fully committed to infection prevention.

All disposable items, including needles, ink, ink caps, equipment covers, gloves, and procedure table barriers, are used only once. For non-disposable tools, we perform proper sterilization using an autoclave (high-pressure sterilizer) and an ultrasonic cleaner.

To prevent cross-contamination, we apply barrier film and wrap covers to areas where blood or ink may come into contact during the procedure. These are replaced and discarded after each session, followed by disinfection with ethanol.

Non-disposable tools are first washed with a specialized detergent and brush, then re-cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner. They are then soaked in a sterilizing solution before being sterilized in an autoclave. After sterilization, the tools are hygienically stored in a UV sterilization cabinet.

Additionally, to maintain cleanliness in the studio, we implement thorough cleaning and handwashing practices. Our staff wears disposable masks and gloves at all times to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
